PRAYER - daily five times prayer (salat)

1.) Fajr (Dawn) Prayer

Before sunrise.

i.) Two rakat Sunnah (not Fard)

ii.) Two rakat Fard (Mandatory)

2.) Zohor (afternoon) Prayer

Noon (approximately: 1 pm to 2:30 pm)

i) Four rakat Sunnah (non-obligatory),

ii.) four rakat Fard (Mandatory),

iii.) two rakat sunnah (non-obligatory).

3.) Aasr (late afternoon) Prayer

i.) Four rakat Sunnah (non-obligatory),

(ii.) four rakat Fard (obligatory).


*(there is no other salat/prayer after Aasr Fard, upto sunset).

4.) Magrib (after sunset) Prayer

After sunset:

i.) Three rakat Fard prayer (Mandatory),

ii.) Two rakat sunnah prayer (non-obligatory)

5.) Eesha (Night) Prayer

i.) Four rakat Sunnah (non-obligatory),

ii.) four rakat Fard (Mandatory),

iv.) three rakat weeteer/witir (wajeeb, but not-obligatory).

* Weeteer (after Eesha) Prayer

Weeteer Prayer is three rakat (unit). We pray weeteer, after completion of Eesha Fard and Sunnah prayer.

* Tahiyaatul wudu Prayer

After you make wudu, if you pray two rakat Tahiyaatul wudu, Allah will make Paradise wajeeb for you. ("Imam" explained this hadith in the Masjid).  This is Nawafeel / non-obligatory Salat.

“HaasbiaAllahu laa Ilaha Illa huwa aalaihi tawakkaltu

“laa hawlaa wala kuwata Illa billah.”

"Allah is sufficient for me.

There is no god but He.

In Him I put my trust, and He is the Robb of the mighty Throne." [9:129]

There is no power or might except from Allah.
